WINDOWS AND DOORS IN THEIR LOG HOME PACKAGES OR LOG HOME KITS--What they don't want you to know is that you are being charged premium price for standard (or at times sub-standard) products.  Most log home companies routinely charge THREE TIMES the price of what the exact same window or door would cost you at your local building supply store.

ROOFING SHINGLES IN THEIR LOG HOME PACKAGES OR LOG HOME KITS--What they don't want you to know is that you can purchase a square of roofing shingles at your local building supply store for around $12.  Most log home companies charge 2-3 times the price for the exact same square of roofing shingles. 

LOGS IN THEIR LOG HOME PACKAGES OR LOG HOME KITS--What they don't want you to know is that the other log home companies charge 3 times more for the exact same logs that we supply.  Even if you were to order a "logs only" package from the other log home companies, you are still paying way too much. 

FRAMING LUMBER IN THEIR LOG HOME HOME PACKAGES OR LOG HOME KITS--What they don't want you to know is that the quality of the framing lumber that most other log home companies supply in their packages or kits can be inconsistent at best.  When you purchase the framing lumber necessary to complete your log home project at your local building supply store, you can see the quality for yourself with no unpleasant surprises.

 BLUE PRINTS FROM THE OTHER LOG HOME COMPANIES---What they don't want you to know is that their "blue prints" are actually stock drawings and cannot be certified and sealed by architects or engineers.  They must be redone by an architect which adds to the cost of your log home package.  Why not just get an architect to do it from the start?
